I came across an application thread in a WoW guild forum that got declined because of something silly. A female mage was applying for a position in a guild. After looking at her UI screenshot, an officer remarked that she was a clicker and was asked to bind her skills first. She refused to. When asked why, she said it’s because of her long fingernails, and that she simply can’t use the keyboard too long or else her nails will break.

I disagree!

I lead raids regularly with my guild, and as the main tank, I need to have everything keybinded. Although my nails are far from being salon perfect, they never chipped.

I am the type of gamer who prefers playing one game at a time. Isn’t it more enjoyable to focus on a single game instead of changing multiple times a day? It might be boring for some, but for me you can get into the story faster and there’s a lesser risk of being over shadowed by a greater title. Maximizing fun

I realized I was hooked when I had to go on a trip for 4 days without a computer.

Haha, due to violent reactions from some friends, I won’t do any more digital make up on myself. I scared off people apparently. Another attempt at photoshop:

Me and Konata having fun with purikura (プリクラ).

Everyone knows I haven’t been in a guild before, other than Ashguard Sect. Matt created the guild and assigned me as guildmaster when I was still trying to slay wolves on my first 10 minutes of gameplay. Naturally, I have no previous raiding experience. The problem is, as the guildmaster of a small guild, the task of being a raid leader fell to my lap by default by the time I reached level 80.

The reality is, I am soft, emotional, and a people pleaser. Unfortuantely, these characteristics spell epic fail in leadership. Despite all that, I still want to become a great leader and hopefully I’ll be able to bring that skill in real life [ack, such a daunting task]. It’ll be tough trying to change something that has been there for 23 years, but I will do it, even if I have to start in a game.

It might take a while but someday, I want to be a woman who doesn’t mind taking charge and saying “this is how we’re gonna do it”, “follow me”, and be able to tell someone they’re wrong without being afraid. To have no problem grabbing the bull by the horns and saying “Let’s go”.

Having a go at digital make up on one of my old pics.

[picture taken down!!! too many violent reactions]

Hopefully I’ll continue to improve. This will be useful for those who doesn’t like make up in photoshoots :]
